Course types

The Insiders Academy distinguishes between four different course types. The applicable modalities depend on the type of course selected.

Standard training

Standard training courses are courses with standardized content on scheduled dates that are conducted live by the Insiders Academy training team. They can take place as face-to-face training at the Kaiserslautern training center or online. Depending on the course, they last from half a day to three days.

The course content is presented using practical demonstrations in the system and your individual questions are answered live. What you have learned is applied and deepened using numerous practical exercises during the training.

The dates for standard training courses are open to interested parties from all customers and partners. You take part in the course together with people from other companies.

Each standard training course can be held exclusively for your company as face-to-face training on the premises of the Insiders Academy or at your premises, or as online training.

Web lesson

A web lesson is a 60- to 90-minutes online training session in which a topic is presented live and, depending on the topic, is explored in greater depth using practical demonstrations in the system. It takes place on scheduled dates.

The dates for web lessons are open to interested parties from all customers and partners. You take part in the course together with people from other companies.

Each web lesson can be held exclusively for your company.

E-learning

An e-learning course is a self-study course that is independent of time and place, in which you work through the topics autonomously. The content is presented with the help of videos, screen recordings, images, texts and interactive elements. You can check and consolidate your learning success using the integrated quiz questions and test scenarios.

Customized training

A customized training course is a course specially tailored to your needs, which is carried out as face-to-face training on the premises of the Insiders Academy or at your premises or as online training.

A customized training course is always conducted exclusively for your company.

Course fee

The course fee can be found in the course description. 

The course fee for customized training courses depends on the duration of the course, the desired course content and the way in which the course is conducted. In principle, customized training is charged per training day. This price does not include any individual preparation, travel costs and expenses.

All prices are subject to change and do not include VAT. Errors and changes excepted.

Enrollment

Sending an enrollment is considered a binding confirmation of participation in the selected course date of a standard training or web lesson or of participation in the e-learning course. Dates for customized training are held by arrangement and must be scheduled with the Insiders Academy in good time.

The prerequisite for course participation is the prior knowledge specified in the course description. The Insiders Academy reserves the right to refuse enrollment if the prerequisites for participation are not met.

The group size for standard training courses, web lessons and customized training courses is limited.

Enrollment confirmation

After enrollment in a course, you will receive a confirmation of enrollment as a system message in the learning platform and by e-mail.

You will receive further information about the course and course organization directly in the courses and, if necessary, through messages from the course management in the announcement forum or as a personal message. You will receive a copy of the announcements and messages by e-mail.

E-learning courses are activated for the duration specified in the course description immediately after enrollment.

Cancellation by the contracting company

For standard trainings, web lessons and customized trainings, the following cancellation rules apply:

• Cancellations must be made in writing or by e-mail to training@insiders-technologies.de.
• Cancellations up to three weeks before the start of the course are free of charge.
• Cancellations up to two weeks before the start of the course will be charged ten percent of the course fee.
• Cancellations up to one week before the start of the course will be charged fifty percent of the course fee.
• If canceled later, the full course fee will be charged.
• A postponement of a course date is considered a cancellation and new registration.
• For standard training courses and web lessons, a replacement person can be named free of charge, provided this person meets the participation requirements.

Enrollment in e-learning courses cannot be canceled, as these are activated immediately after enrollment, provided that the participation requirements are met. 

Cancellation by Insiders Technologies

Insiders Technologies reserves the right to cancel course dates if

• for standard training courses and web lessons, the minimum number of enrollments has not been received by one week before the start of the course,
• the trainer is unable to attend,
•  there are other important reasons.

If it is clear that a course must be canceled by Insiders Technologies, you will be notified immediately. Course fees that have already been paid will be refunded; further claims against Insiders Technologies by the enrolled persons or the companies on whose behalf they are enrolled are excluded.

Organizational and technical requirements

Insiders provides the necessary technical equipment for standard training courses that are held face-to-face at the Insiders Academy training center.

The following requirements must always be met in order for you to participate in courses that are held online:

• You need a PC with Internet access.
• If you are working on a laptop, we recommend that you connect a separate keyboard and mouse.

The following additionally applies to standard training courses and web lessons:

• Video and audio transmission is carried out via a conference software, which must be approved by your company.
• In order to be able to complete practical exercises during standard training courses, you must also connect to our training environment via remote desktop.
• We recommend that you carry out a tech check before the training date so that you can try out access to the conference software and, if applicable, the training environment. You will find a description on how to do this in the course.

The following additionally applies to e-learning:

• It is technically possible to participate with tablets or smartphones. However, as the software simulations included in the courses are designed to be operated using a keyboard and mouse, we do not recommend using mobile devices for participation.

The following applies to customized training:

• In the case of customized training that is conducted online, either the trainer will be given access to the customer environment or the participants will be given remote access to the Insiders training environment by prior arrangement.
• In the case of customized training on site, the commissioning company must ensure the provision of the necessary computer equipment and suitable premises for conducting the course. A detailed list of the hardware and software requirements as well as the equipment of the course room will be provided by the training team in good time before the start of the course.
• The computers will be approved by the course management on the last working day before the start of the course. This must be taken into account in the scheduling and availability of the computers and rooms.
